Dr. Rakesh Mahajan is a Senior Consultant at the BLK Centre for Orthopaedics, Joint Reconstruction & Spine Surgery, BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. He has over 20 years of wide-ranging experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, of which the last 10 years have been as Senior Consultant, leading a team of young, talented and energetic orthopaedic surgeons. Dr. Mahajan and his team handle all types of joint replacement cases, spanning both primary as well as complex surgeries. Dr. Mahajan also heads the academic and administrative functions of his department. Apart from Indian medical students, he trains Fellows from Afghanistan and Iraq in joint replacement and sports injuries. Dr. Rakesh Mahajan regularly appears on TV programmes and participates in radio shows to spread awareness about osteoarthritis, joint replacement, sports injuries, etc.
